ipload using exceed xterm

Hi everyone, I am trying to use ipload (the high speed load utility) -- using a win95 with Exceed for the xwindows -- connecting to an HP900. When I try to define the device array, the window where you define the file/tape/etc displays, but under all the other windows and won't take focus. I called Informix and they had a case just like it -- but the user saw what was wrong -- something in the exceed set-up -- fixed it while on the phone but either didn't tell Informix what it was (s)he did -- or Informix did not record it. Does anyone know what the configure parameter could be?
