Can not connect to an NLS database (was Borland Database Engine & Informix 7.1 problem)

Thanks for all for your answers but the problem has changed. I'm able to connect to a NON NLS database but could not to an NLS :( I've tried it before in esql/c 5.1 (w16bit) with success, but not in esq/c 7.2 (w32) :( I've tried to set DBNLS and other enviroment setting like the manual says, but got the same result Inf. error code: -406 the platform is client side : winnt4.0 + esql/c 7.2 server side UNIX + INformix server 7.2(?)
