I-NET slow in connecting

Netters, A couple of days ago I received an evaluation copy of Informix I-NET for both my ATT 3B2 and 6386 both running ATT SysV, the former 3.2.3 and the latter 4.0. I've got the software working fine but it runs extremely slow. That is the time it takes to connect to the remote machine is approx. 30 seconds, but after it connects the actual query and return of results is very quick (approx. 1 sec.). This is ver 4.1 of Informix any the slow connect is verifible by using ISQL and selecting a database and then a table. Does anyone have any experience using I-NET on a TCP/IP network? Thanks, John R.
