TEXT and BYTE data type in VB5

Hi! I have informix stored procedure in the database with some TEXT input parameters and TEXT output parameter. When I execute it from within VisualBasic 5, there is an error about "illegal attempt to convert Text/Byte blob type. What kind of variables I must use in VB to overpass this error? And, which method do you use to connect to Informix database and to execute such a procedures? (Excuse me, but I'm new in VB) Thank you in advance! Best regards, Milen.
