Job Title (Classification): Data Warehouse Information Mgr/Informix DBA (Systems Specialist) Reporting For the purpose of time management and performance reviews, the Data Warehouse Information Manager (DWIM) shall report to the Director of Systems Operations. For the purpose of job functions the DWIM shall work with the Information Production Specialist teams, the Development team, and the Systems Operations team. Roles The primary roles of the DWIM are to increase the efficiency and consistency of Data Warehouse construction across all contracts and to function as an Informix database administrator. Primary goal is to increase efficiency and consistency of Data Warehouse functions across all contracts. This will include building a working knowledge of OPTIS Plus statistical software and OCI's analytical methodologies as well as enhancing the development of OCI's use of Informix, the OPTIS Data Loader, and OCI's Data Warehouse construction strategy. Responsibilities 1. Support the Information Production Specialist teams with data warehouse design and construction 2. Support the Information Specialist teams usage of OCI applications (OPTIS Data Loader, OPTIS Plus) 3. Provide an interface between OCI software development team and Information Specialist staff ? insure the functionality of software meets the needs of the Information Specialists ? assist development team to maximize the Informix efficiency of programs ? assist in balancing the needs of the Information Specialists with the capabilities of Informix 4. Informix engine configuration and performance tuning 5. Informix database backup 6. Provide beta testing for OCI developed software 7. Provide training to Information Specialists and manage deployment for new product features Minimum Qualifications BS in CS or MIS 1+ years of Database Administration experience 1+ years of UNIX experience Strong communication and project management skills Preferred Skills 3+ years Informix experience 2+ years SCO UNIX experience 1+ years Data Warehouse building experience 2+ years C++ experience
