Unicode for Chinese Font

An Employee of Us wants to insert Chinese Letters into an Informix Database. Our Software is built on esql/c. Are there any experiences with this ? Just now the Customer uses Informix 7.30TC7 on Windows NT, will he require an Update ? I think i saw already some guys from Singapore posting here, so the Issue should be known ?
