RE: move from informix 7.31 to 9.40

IDS 9.40.UC2 is a bit old for a new server. IDS 10 is current. You should get your upgrade from IBM, not IIUG. If you get an assert fail, then there is a problem with your linux/IDS installation. Read the release notes regarding the OS requirement and glibc version for that version of IDS. Dbexport / dbimport is the best migration method.
