free sqlda on Windows NT

Hi all, does anybody have experience using $describe X into my_sqlda ... free(my_sqlda) on Windows NT 4.0 and ESQL/C Version 7.20 with Microsoft MSVC 2.2 or 4.X. The above statements work fine on UNIX-OS, but on NT it crashes in the free-Routine. It seems to me that ESQL allocates memory from one type of meory, but free can only free memory from another area. The appilcation is built as 'console application' Thank you very much
