Re: Informix Performance Test

Folks, I have a few things to add to this: This application can run multiple-threads for data going into 6-10 tables at rates between 1000-2000 rows per second. The tables have indexes and RI and Informix and the machine LOVES it...give me more. The machine this is running on is a monster .... 4 Processors with a GIG of ram. But... I do not understand why when concentrating on one table - no indexes, no logging, one column do I hit a ceiling of 400 rps. I am led to believe that this does not matter what processing power the machine is configured with... with one table I can expect only ~400 rps. If there is an Informix Engineer out there, Please shed some light on this...
