Not if your paging is *very* well configured, i.e. lots of disks, controllers, bandwidth. It's probably best to tweak BUFFERS to the point where you have just a little dab of paging going on. Doing the additional I/O via your dbspaces is probably better than leaning on the paging system too heavily, assuming you haven't configured your paging bandwidth to the nines as most people don't....
