I tried to install 9.40 on
Debian,
but after starting oninit, it hangs
and gives no further reaction.
Same version now running on Suse 9.2 + 9.3 with no problem.
I changed to Suse now.
Any known bugs with Debian or does anyone knows,
that Debian is Ok for Informix.

IDS
9.40 and IDS 10 are running on Debian.
You just have to use a Patch on libpthread if you are running Kernel 2.4 (see
www.bytec.de)
Using Kernel 2.6 no patch is needed and it is running out of the box.
