Problem with small ints

I'm running an application which includes a report that doesn't work. When running ACE reports "Subscript out of bounds". The authors of this app won't release the source for the report [8(] but they did say that the problem was due to a know bug in v4.00 which is what I was running at the time. The Informix bug no was, apparently, 8203 a problem with small integers. I was informed by my dealer that the bug was fixed in v4.10 which I subsequently acquired. However, the problem remains. I was informed today that the fix for 8203 was only released for SCO unix. I'm running Interactive 2.2.1.
