18.2GB Hard Drive

Is there any way to utilize an 18.2GB hard drive? This is how I understand the situation. Max dbspace is 2gb, max chunk + offset is 2gb, so partitions on drive can only be utilized up to 2gb. There are only 7 partitions available (8th is forced for backup tag). At 2gb per partition, max utilization per drive is 14gb. This is absurd. Am I to understand that Informix cannot handle larger drives? Please help. Thanks, Kevin M. Carroll
