Windows Vista install problem
Hello, I already checked this forum for similar problems, but the answers didn't gave a solution to me. i tried several times install/uninstall 11.5 but without success. I'm running Vista Business 32bit. I installed most recent Microsoft updates (windows update), ... but still get the error messages: initinstance 1 - Failed to set up IDS Message Service as Windows Service initinstance 2 - IDS Message Service failed to start. Anyone can help? Thanks.
Install it on the local user account ... Although you're on Vista Businnes... so you are not supposed to have any problems... Turning the firewall off might help. Also check the release notes 'cause IDS need Net-Bios (or something like that) to be activated in order to make successfull conections... Hi Guy, Contact IBM tech support and ask for a fix for defect: idsdb00160110 Latest status on the defect was "The source of the problem isolated to SNMP and Message service setup with Windows Services. A fix for this has been identified."
