You should talk to PeopleSoft. The correlated sub-query unwinding that IDS 7.3x does causes queries to SLOW if the indexes needed to support the resulting simple join are not present. Last I heard PeopleSoft was furiously redesigning their database to work better with versions later than 7.23 (the latest that PeopleSoft would certify us to run on in July 1998). Art S. Kagel
