I like the Delphi environment, but there are some things about Object Pascal that annoy me (does it still not automatically call the constructor?) At the point where we might have been considering Delphi, Borland was at the depths of its business troubles, so that weighed against it. I'd -much- rather use Delphi than Visual Basic or Powerbuilder, but <shrug> these things happen. Borland's JBuilder was actually a bit disappointing compared to Delphi; some of the other Java development environments are pretty close to Delphi in ease of use. I do think Delphi will survive, but I don't think it will be a big player in the arena. -- William Harris william@carsinfo.com Check out the NAGS spam filter. http://www.nags.org
