Multithreaded process - connect problem

G'day I am writing a multi-threaded server. I can connect to the database in the main thread but not in my database thread. However, once connected, I can close and then re-connect successfully in my database thread. System: Solaris 2.5, Informiix 7.22 Any ideas? Thanks.
