You should certainly consider: "Departmental" tools Borland C++ Builder Borland Delphi MS Visual Basic "Uneasily in the middle" tools PowerBuilder "Enterprise" tools Forte Dynasty Supernova Uniface Then there's all the "real" OO stuff, according to Mikey. Doubtlessly he'll share with us. :-) You'll notice the glaring omission of Java, due to the fact that it *still* crashes my browser daily (or hangs it up until I lose patience), I'm sure Nils will leap in and tell me how wrong I am here. But if I had to choose the one product which has never let me down, which has always delivered on time and within budget, runs well and I depend on, it would be classic Informix-4GL. So there. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

This is what we replaced Informix's New Era with. We are very happy with VisualAge (to the dismay of the Java fans within the organization). > > You'll notice the glaring omission of Java, due to the fact that it > *still* crashes my browser daily (or hangs it up until I lose > patience), I'm sure Nils will leap in and tell me how wrong I am here. Java? We sure dumped that baby real early enough to save ourselves. > But if I had to choose the one product which has never let me down, > which has always delivered on time and within budget, runs well and I > depend on, it would be classic Informix-4GL. > > So there. > > ______________________________________________________ > Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com Jun Nolasco
