If you want csv output, you can use the UNLOAD command. By default it
will be seperated by the "|" character, you can change this by setting
the DBDELIMITER environment variable.

Subject: How do a force Fixed width output using 'isqlrf' statement?

I am trying to dump data from a table, but want to make sure it comes
out in a tabular format (ie: fixed width, or even csv), but I guess I
have too many fields for it to default to that. In the following
example, if I run the command:
isqlrf <test1 >test1.txt
the results are sent to the text file in serial fashion(see example
1). But if I delete one or more of the fields from the 'test1' file,
then the results are saved in regular fixed width fashion(see example
2). But I need all the fields.
Is there some way I can force it to write the results in fixed width??
contents of 'test1' files:
database test;
select cu_id_num, mu_id_num, mu_logical_num, slot_num,
sequence_num, dialup_num from tbltest;
Example 1:
cu_id_num 169
mu_id_num 4
mu_logical_num 4
slot_num 8
sequence_num 4
dialup_num 444
cu_id_num 169
mu_id_num 5
mu_logical_num 5
slot_num 11
sequence_num 5
dialup_num 333
etc.,
Example 2:
cu_id_num mu_id_num mu_logical_num
169 4 4
169 5 5
etc.
Greatly appreciate any assistance.
Terry.
