NewEra Reports/Printer control

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to send printer control strings from inside a report run from New Era (on Windows of course). We've been using these reports for several years now on our 4gl systems. The control strings are for overlays and font control, etc. It appears that the escape char (ASCII 27) is lost. I'm using the syntax "start report to printer". Standard text files are no problem, just the macros. Thanks, Scott
