At that time NewEra's front end was slow to do development. Compiling a 2 form screen took awhile. Things might not be as bad with P133 and a lot of memory. NewEra is ok. The front end development (IDE) really really sucks. But the 4gl++ is really nice. But it will also be a hard thing to learn if you never used Informix's 4gl before. I still have not decided what front end tool I am going to used for devolopment. Right now I have 3 choices. Jam7, Unify Vision, and NewEra. Right now it is a toss up between Unify Vision and NewEra. I am starting to lean towards Unify Vision just because we have other applications written in a previous version of Vision called Accell. Matt
