Informix-Connect is the package of software (and a licence) which allows you to run ESQL/C based applications on a machine where you don't have the necessary material available via another Informix package. It allows you to connect to databases, etc, hence its name. I know this applies to Unix; the rules under Windows may be mildly different. Informix-CLI is Informix's version of ODBC (give or take the issues of who actually wrote it, etc). I don't know which product you need for Delphi. If Delphi needs ODBC, then you'd presumably need Informix-CLI. You might also need Informix Connect, but I don't know. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
