Redbrick Warehouse vs. IDS Question

I am going to guess that this is the best place to post Redbrick questions. 1 - Informix <DID> purchase Redbrick 2 - I cannot find any newsgroup or list exclusively for Redbrick Therefore, here goes. I have a table in Redbrick that has a StarIndex on 5 columns. We'll call them COL1, COL2, COL3, COL4, COL5. The selection criteria for a query uses COL1 and COL5, but does not use COL2, COL3 or COL4. In the IDS world, I would create an additional index on COL1, COL5. Does this concept apply when using a StarIndex, or are the 5 elements of this StarIndex independent from one another?
