Talking "Shite" is not usually a characteristic of a particular regional group (except people from Manchester of course), so it would more likely to be classified as a pidgin, or more generally a creole, than a dialect.

Hey Mark! Just FYI: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-03-2009/jw-03-if-ibm-owns-java.html ;-) One thing that I always wondered about those Aussies.... As British Colonies, both America and Australia had opened frontiers. Historians have long since held the opinion that it was the frontier that helped to define the 'American culture'. I would imagine that it would be the same for Australia too. But the biggest difference is that when England tried to 'rape' the American colonialists, we revolted and became independent. Australians for the most part just bent over and took it up the arse. But hey! What do I know? Maybe its because Aussies were the dregs from England's prisons and rather enjoyed being buggered? 8-O 8^) _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live™: Keep your life in sync. http://windowslive.com/explore?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_allup_1a_explore_042009
