IDS Growth Edition license restriction limits

Hello, Getting following error when starting engine so what can we do for it ---- 18:28:17 Warning: The IBM IDS Growth Edition license restriction limits 18:28:17 the total shared memory size for this server to 16777216 KB. 18:28:17 The maximum allowable shared memory was reset to this size to start the database server. 18:28:17 Warning: The IBM IDS Growth Edition license restriction limits 18:28:17 the total shared memory size for this server to 16777216 KB. 18:28:17 Size of resident + virtual segments 16777216 KB + 2097152 KB > 16777216 KB. 18:28:17 Size of resident + virtual segments 16777216KB + 2097152KB > 16777216KB 18:28:17 total allowed by configuration parameter SHMTOTAL 18:28:17 mt_shm_init: can't create virtual segment ---- Thanks Pushpa

Total shared memory size including resident and virtual segment can go maximum up to 16GB on growth edition. You need to adjust your memory parameters like BUFFERPOOL, SHMVIRTSIZE, SHMTOTAL etc to fit in 16GB. Can you share your onconfig, I can help u find out the right fix. Reduce the number of buffers so that the total sizes of all buffers plus the size of the SHMVIRTSIZE is less than 16GB which is the memory limit for Growth Edition. Art Art S.
