Informix Server 9.4 Installation Problem

I was trying to install the Informix Server 9.4 (downloaded from iiug site) on to a Windows Xp machine .The server does start up by "starts ol_ibm" and I can see the output of onstat . However on invoking dbaccess I get the Error "-908 Attempt to connect to database server (servername) failed." . Also, During Initialization the "sysmaster" database is not built .Digging further I have found that the Local machine password should be same as the informix password . As far as I know I do not have a password for my local machine . How can I solve this issue ? . I tried logging in as user "informix" and without a password I did not work . My machine's name is "IBM" and during previous installation of IDS ( IDS PE) it was called "DEFAULT" , I looked up the hosts files ,there is an entry for localhost "127.0.0.1 DEFAULT" . do I need to change it to "IBM" as that is the name of my machine now ?. sqlhosts shows the entry "turbo 1526/tcp" ,which I presume is correct. Somehow the initialization is not picking the correct values and fails to create smi tables. Anybody encountered similar problem ?. would appreciate any pointers .
