Obnoxio The Clown argued that IDS 5.20 was still supported and sold. A poster said it suits small databases but is limited to about 106 GB by a 54-chunk maximum. David asked how support could have ended, and Neil Truby explained IDS 10 reaches end of marketing the next day, so it can no longer be sold and goes out of support a year later.

By the truckload. correct. just today morning a friend of mine was asking question about tbmode. It is still an excellent RDBMS for small databases. The big problem with it that it can't go beyond 106 GB something. It has something to do with number of chunks limitation. Even with shortest possible path for chunks, like /a or /b, it can only take 54 chunks max.

You still purchase an extension to 7.x support though...so how is it end of support?

Well, exactly that. It's no longer available for support under the standard terms of a Passport Advantage or OEM contract. IDS 10 goes "end of marketing" tomorrow, which means it goes End of Support this time next year. For that reason we are not allowed to sell it after today.
