[ Modem with data encryption ]
I don't know why you have chosen an informix related newsgroup for
your question, but here comes the quick answer:
If you want to have a non-spy-able (does this word exist?) communication
you needn't use a cxrypted protocol, a stateless both-ended protocol like
PEP will do. Ask any Telebit Dealer for further explanation, PEP is
really safe. (You can't decide, who said what in PEP, so you can't follow
the stream of data and, even more important, you can't link to the cable
and fake information. Combine this with a Telebit NetBlazer (which does
cryptographik handshake) and you are on the safe side)
Disclaimer:
No, I don't work for Telebit ;-) and I don't mind which product you buy.
Regards,
-svb.
