hi Rob,
Sincerely appreciate your help. I figured returning set of composite
values after I posted it. Maybe you cant return have a C aggregate function
that returns a set of values. But the manual doesnt say so.
If you have the time, got one more question for you,
Suppose I have a C function that returns a set of integers and I use it this
way
create function C-function(int, int)returns setof(int)....
QUERY1:
select C-function(col1, col2)
from table2;
Is there any way I can unset(or unwind)the set it returns insert these in
a table ?
This too doesnt work:
create table table1( col setof(int));
insert into table1
select C-function(co1l, col2)
from table2;
it gives me a internal error.
Since QUERY1 returns a set of opened cursors----
Is there any way I can unset or unwind it using cursors ? If I can read(all)
from a cursor and insert it into a table, I could do it. But I couldnt find
a way of doing that.
