termcap details??

This has to do with trying to get termcaps to behave appropriately. If this is one of those impossible things that you figure I ought to just know without asking, sorry. If so, maybe you could supply that information by direct mail and please avoid terms like "dipstick", "yoyo", and "numbskull". There're enough people gaining on me already today. I am writing 4gl on an IBM RS6000. I am trying to come up with as comprehensive a termcap as possible to facilitate users working through multiple windows on X-terminals running either as aixterm or xterm. I have been told and have even done some manipulating of specific items in both aixterm and xterm termcaps, but I am having a hard time narrowing my experimenting down to the handful of keys I can't seem to get to work correctly. Perhaps you can direct me to a good source of information--manual, etc. I have retrieved a number of termcaps from the informix ftp site and found them lacking in some way. My specific problems are with Page Up, Page Down, and Delete. Some aixterm termcaps seem to take on Page Up and Page Dwon correctly but have other problems. None of them seem to handle the Delete key which we want to work as Ctrl-C. Yes, I am aware that all three functions can be had with control key combinations; however, in some of our users' situations the multiple key use is, at least, inconvenient and, at worst, user-unfriendly enough to discourage the user.
