Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hello world,
I'm trying to connect a distributed database between a HP 9000 (HP-MC)
and a Sun Sparc 4 Server. Both are equipped with Informix Online (Star) 4.01.
When I query the other DB-Server (HP -> Sun) I get the message:
408: Invalid message type received from the sqlexec process.
Any ideas what is happen?
(/etc/hosts.equiv or rather .rhosts are surely ok, correct entries in
$INFORMIXDIR/sqlhosts (tcp..))
Thanks in advance!
Ingo
