Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Running onmode -wf SMX_NUMPIPES throws an error.
Informix version is 12.10.fc15.
$ onmode -wf SMX_NUMPIPES=4Configuration Parameter to be changed is not valid or not supported
with this option.
However, the documentation states that the wf option is possible.
Is the documentation wrong?

Hi SangGyu,
I have the same situation with Informix 14.10.FC7.
You can't change SMX_NUMPIPES with "onmode -wm/wf", nor with "task/admin", Informix OAT, Informix HQ.
I think the problem is that SMX_NUMPIPES is not dynamically tunable.
I check also with "onstat -g cfg tunable" - there is no SMX_NUMPIPES.
Regarding the documentation: the same situation with 14.10. Let say ... The documentation ... is not "very correct" ;-)
Regards,

Hi Boycho, Thanks for the reply.
I completely trusted the documentation, but it seems to be wrong.
Hopefully the documentation will be updated correctly. :)
