Need help for Informix IDS on Linux

I cannot make an oninit -iy for initializing the rootdbs. Everytime I try it I get following error message: oninit: cannot open chung '/dbpath/root.dbs'. errno=2 oninit: fatal error in shared memory initialization I patched the 2.0.36 kernel for large file descriptors. But what are the normal values for the size of the file descriptor and the count of processes??? Is there a description or a patch to patch a 2.2.x kernel for Informix IDS ??? Please need help...
