Before using Mark's suggetion of deleting relevent rows from the system
catalogues as 'informix', you could also:
Try dropping it as 'informix';
Check the physical files exist (if SE);
Check they are'nt odd UNIX perms (if SE) - they should be
664 and in group 'informix'.
If the database is SE you can also (from the shell) run 'bcheck' on all
the system catalogues, just in case!
I'm sure there's an OL equivalent but I don't know what it is!
