Informix 7.31.UC7E1 on AIX 5.3

We used to have Informix 7.31.UC7E1 32-bit instanse on AIX 4.3 and an Informix patch IDS7.31FD7E1 for 64-bit support. After upgrading to AIX 5.3 the 32-bit version works but the patch binaries give the following error message: "Discontinued 64-bit XCOFF executable or object module not stripped" Any idea or resource will be greatly appreciated,
