I am currently involved in a series of projects using Gupta SQL Windows with Informix Online 5.04 I have also compared it with New Era, and come to no firm decision :-< Gupta version 4 and earlier had problems ranging from awkward to unspeakable. However, version 5.01, which we currently use is OK. Informix Inet4 and earlier ( the TSR versions ) were problematical with Gupta. Inet 5 looks OK, but there are still some unexplored areas on how the Gupta router talks to Inet 5 Overall, Gupta SQL is not a bad product, and does enable fast application building. It is not object oriented, despite what Gupta claim, which is a major minus vs New Era. However, Gupta's 'Quick Objects' and 'Team Windows' which are all part of the bundled 'Corporate Edition' offer some good possibilities. This is a very wide subject, do you have any specific quetsions?
