question on SBSPACENAME and SYSSBSPACENAME

I recently added our first subspace and wondering about SBSPACENAME and SYSSBSPACENAME in the onconf file. My assumption is I set the SBSPACENAME to the smart-blob dbspace name (in my case: sdbs0) so the system has a default and the developers don't have to specify which sbspace in their sql. Also assuming this is a good idea to do. For SYSSBSPACENAME what are the advantage or disadvanage to specifying a sbspace? I guess I'm not sure if I should or shouldn't specify our sdbs0. If you have fragmented/partitioned tables and the other criteria are met, then the engine needs an sbspace named in SYSSBSPACENAME into which to put distributions for your table partitions. If it is not set then partitioned tables can only get table level distributions. Art Art S.
