Hi! Can you login directly to Unix as informix with the password you are using? If not, have user root (your system administrator) assign a new password to informix. Hi Michael, thank your for anser. I can login directly as User informix on UNIX. I changed the informix pass- word without any result. Only the database engine answered unknown login. My next idea is to unload the database with dbexport and with the logins of the db-users. It is a very long solution because there more than 20GByte data in the db. I think our backup-system is in the same state. I think that this is a problem of a system-table, but i couldn't look in the tables.
