Cust. Service Center Scheduling SW?

A manager at my site requested help in locating a software tool which he can use to develop work schedules for a large phone center. What he's looking for is something which can maintain a staff database, take STAFFING REQUIREMENTS as input and generate SCHEDULES/SHIFTS as output. As an example of his input, he might input "8 people are required from 8AM-6PM Monday through Thursday" and he'd like the tool to generate a schedule. If you know of a product which could meet his needs, please send me an e-mail. The platform and database are flexible. If it runs in Informix, that's a plus.
