Re: Restore to previous Zero level
Posted in 1998
There are two parts to this questions:
1. How to I get a previous archive to restore, onbar by default
choose the most current?
You will have to add into you restore command line a
"-t <date/time just after the level 0>"
If you do not know the date and time of the archive check
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixbar.{servernum}. This file contains
a single row for each backup object along with the date
and time.
2. Can I do a physical restore only without rolling forward
my logical logs?
If you took the level 0 archive with the "-w" flag then
you
can do a physical only restore, if not you will be
required
to do some logical restore.
For a physical only restore add the "-p" option into
your command line.
Hope this helps,
