onmonitor not working on Linux

onmonitor not working on linux
get this
Program stopped at "tb4_main.4gl", line number 78.
FORMS statement error number -1170.
The type of your terminal is unknown to the system.
dbaccess works ok
using TERM=vt100
always works on unix. Am i missing a path ?
yeah - i know on monitor is ancient but it has some good features

You can try setting some of these variables:
INFORMIXTERM=terminfo # or termcapTERMCAP=/path/to/vt100-termcap
TERMINFO=/path/to/terminfo # with sub-directory v and file v/vt100
You might find TERMCAP=$INFORMIXDIR/etc/termcap works.

thanks Jonathan TERMCAP=$INFORMIXDIR/etc/termcap got it going
Set the TERM environment vsr to vt100 and try again.
