There are several things you should do: 1. Read the FAQ (http://www.iiug.org). 2. Upgrade to 4.16 or later (anything above 4.12 will get rid of this problem). If you can't upgrade for some reason, there are still several things you can do: 1. Cry - because it's a lot easier to upgrade than it is to fix the problem any other way. 2. Avoid doing string concatenation operations. 3. Read the FAQ. If it still doesn't help, maybe I can get at my archives of information on the subject, but that may take some time - I haven't yet got my stuff transferred from tape to disk in my new environment.
