informix tape content

Hi, 1- Is there a way to tell the content of an Informix backup/logical log numbers and so on?? Like the archive number? 2- If I, by mistake, took contiguous log tape out of the drive, will Informix over write the existing log files?? Sorry for these stupid questions.
