My attempts so far have failed, and > an Informix engineer had no hints either. This is done via rsh using .rhosts files. You need to be able to rsh from one system to another for it to work. Make sure that each home directory for Informix has a .rhosts file that includes the other system's name, and you will be able to rsh back and forth. Then your remote devices will work. -- There are links to many backup and storage management resources at my web site: http://miso.wwa.com/~curtis (temporary) http://www.backupcentral.com (Jul, 1997) (I am currently writing a book for O'Reilly Publishing about enterprise backup and recovery, and would appreciate your input on suggested topics that I should cover.)
