Re: Informix Database Admin Guide...Out of Date ?

If book stores are polite enough to open some space remaining from Oracle stuff in their shelves, you can probably find couple of valuable Informix books :-(. One of them is "Informix Unleashed". This book is clear and complete that helps to learn and apply, althogh its "Universal Server" side is pretty loose, One more thing, while you're searching a book which is not out of date, dont forget to check-out its publication date and versions covered.
