Buffers are good, the number of mod bufs may not tell you everything.
It all depends on the ckpintvl and the lru settings , if the lru's are set
low they
will constatly clean your buffers so your mod # of bufs will be low .
More bufs = better cache. 40mb of bufs is not a lot. Depends on how many
users
and what they do. Is your appl doing a lot of insert/update/delete or is it
mainly reads.
