Hari,
It seems your are using ODS or OWS. I think your LOGS are getting full,
Have you checked the alerts in the Command Center? , Anyway, try
to backup the current logical logs? And in the go to the command-line-utilities
located in one of the Informix folders and run ontape to backup the logical
logs continuosly. By the way, I am assuming the the drive E: is out of erros,
I mean, OS i/o erros such as bad tracks.
I hope this helps,
Regards,
Mario Estrada

Subject: Help - ODs hangs during database creation ..
Hello,
I am running into a strange problem. I got this tape from the client
with a database on it. They sent me the dbschema SQL for the schema.
I tried it on UNIX - i.e., ran the SQL after creating the database. It ran just fine.
I then tried to do the same thing on NT. The only difference being - I put the
rootdbs on the C: drive and the entire dbspace which would take the database on the
E: drive.
I have never been able to run thru the SQL fully. It goes some distance and sits
there forever. I killed the process and tried to drop the database - it wouldn't
allow me to - ISAM record locked error. I cannot even drop individual tables that
the SQL has already created. I brought the server down, shut the machine off.
Nothing seems to help. It is and NT 4.0 workstation. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
-Hari
