Hi, IDS 10.00 should run somewhat better than IDS 9.40 on zLinux. And IDS 9.40 was used for some performance testing on zLinux with the goal to show the performance potential of zLinux. The people doing this (in the IBM Lab in Boeblingen, Germany) were very pleased with IDS because they finally found an application that could show how well things scale ... :) E.g. see http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/linux390/perf/tuning_res_scaling.html (second slide).
