A fun feature on-Line 7 is that you MUST take On-Line offline (unload
shared memory and reinitialise) if you want to change the logical log
backup device from a 'real' device to '/dev/null', otherwise On-Line
will not release used logical logs until you run 'ontape -a' or 'ontape
-c' (to back up the log to /dev/null).
This is the only case where you need to take On-Line down to change the
logical log backup configuration (changing it FROM '/dev/null' to a real
tape device works fine without restarting the server).
