Hi... I am new on Informix-sql . I'm trying to install it to RedHat.It is 7.24 But I have some problems : 1.) I have 2 folders . SE and ESQLC . First of all what are they ? 2.) I must have INFORMIXDIR but which one I had to prefer?(SE/ESQLC) Because of this I can't run it. EAGLE (e-mail virusu)

This unified directory will be INFORMIXDIR. Install ESQL/C first then SE. BTW it is good practice to install Informix product in a subdirectory of the Informix login home directory named according to version (so if HOME is /usr/informix install in /usr/informix/SE7.24). This makes it easier to install new versions while the database is being actively used with the older version. Art S. Kagel
